Bard Associates Inc.
created Nanodate as a monthlong promotion, and received such
an overwhelming response that it continued this musical chairs
approach to dating for two years!
Once a week, every week, Nanodate would pair off 10-12 men
and 10-12 women for a series of eight minute conversations. At the
end of the evening particpants would let us know who interested
them. We matched up mutual interests, and a day later, notified
participants of their matches.
This unique dating format was not only popular with singles but
press as well. A representative from NY Lifetime TV, Don Polec with
Channel 6 (ABC), and Dianna Marder with the Philadelphia Inquirer
all participated
in Nanodate sessions. Channel 29 (FOX), as well as National
Public Radio ran clips of sessions along with interviews.
